Teachers versus students
« on: February 18, 2018, 08:52:26 AM »
This is a subject that has many opinions.

Should we provide more money to the educational system?  Less?  Or is it just right?

Should students and parents have choice in how to spend their child's share of the educational dollar?

Or is government doing a good job?

Your thoughts?

I think there is no question, our educational system stinks!

Give control of the kid's share of the educational dollar to the kids and their parents and let them decide where to send the kid to school.  Why should the educational system decide?

That should break up the teachers' unions and they are evil!

Thats why many teachers send their kids to private school. The law states that the town must provide an equal education to all students. With years of budget cuts they are failing this obligation. If they refuse to fix our school system, then the town should write everyone a check for 8,600 and allow them to send students somewhere where they can get a great education..
